Our Staff

Craig is the founder of Accident Specialist cc; he has been practicing in the field since 1991. Craig has undergone extensive training and has vast experience in the field. Craig runs a hands-on practice and either undertakes all matters directly, or oversees all matters. Craig manages and oversees all aspects of the practice.

As the business manager, and front line staff to the practice, Ailsa undertakes all aspects of managing the business, and assist in the management of cases and the compilation of the forensic reports.

As a consultant to Accident Specialist, and as a highly experienced professional engineer B.Sc (Mech. Eng.), MBL, DMS, Rob undertakes all aspects of forensic investigations.

Professor Riaan Stopforth, has a BSc, MSc and PhD degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering respectively, all obtained from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. His main research area is Mechatronics and Robotics. He has been involved with different research disciplines, including accident investigation, bio-engineering, ballistics, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, and search & rescue robots, to name a few. Most of his research happens in the Stopforth Mechatronics, Robotics and Research Lab, yet he has been collaborating, supervising and co-authoring with different people in academia and industry, within South Africa and abroad.

As the office administrator, front line staff to the practice, and PA to Craig, Eloise undertakes various daily aspects of the business, specialising in the compilation of the forensic reports.

As a member of Accident Specialist, Garner is a highly experienced accident investigator, with extensive training in the field. Garner undertakes all aspects of forensic investigations.

Aidan Bain is a highly experienced traffic accident specialist, practicing as one of the lead investigation specialists, undertaking all aspects of case investigations. Aidan specialises in the 3D reconstruction visual aspects of crash investigation. Aidan primarily undertakes cases in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Northern Cape region.
