Understanding & investigation of traffic accidents:
22-24th August 2018 – Bloemfontein – Course review

22nd through the 24th August 2018, Accident Specialist was requested to facilitate training to the Provincial
Department, Free State. The training was presented by Mr Proctor-Parker in Bloemfontein.
Over the three days, there was a very interactive group of 34 attendees from various directly and indirectly
related departments within the Provincial offices that attended. Attendees were taken through the extensive
detail of what is normally a five day basic level introduction to traffic accidents, extending from basic
accident report documentary level, to the introduction of scene evidence, vehicle evidence, photography,
diagramming and a host of other factors. Due to the combination of the department`s time constraints and
financial limits, the training was crammed into three days, largely negating all the practical exercises.
